This crayon vase is super easy to make and is the perfect way to say THANK YOU to your child’s teacher!
Teachers give more than just themselves to teach our children. Often times, they even put their own money into getting supplies. They will stay late to help those kids who need it. They never stop worrying. Even when they are at home in the evenings, they are thinking about the kids at school.
When Teacher Appreciation Week rolls round each May, it is the perfect opportunity to thank thank them for all they do. This adorable crayon vase is one way to do just that!
This is a project which is affordable and will take you no more than 30 minutes to create! What I love most is that your kids can get involved too, which makes it even more memorable.

29 – 30 crayons (depending upon the size of your jar – just enough to circle it completely)
12″ of 1 1/2″ width ribbon (if desired
Pint size Mason jar
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scrapbook paper (any color)
Flowers, candy, or school supplies
INSTRUCTIONS
Glue scrapbook paper onto the jar. Make sure the entire jar is completely covered.
Layout the pattern of the crayons in the order you want. Make sure you have them mixed well so that the same colors are not side by side. One by one, hot glue them to the bottom of the jar.
Once the glue has cooled, remove any “glue strings” that may be on the jar. Tie the ribbon to the center. Add flowers or fill with supplies, candy — whatever you’d like!
And that’s it! That is all there is to make this sweet little vase for your favorite teacher!!
