Christmas tree waffles are a tradition in our house. My kids look forward to them every single year. And, if we don’t make them, they are very disappointed (lesson learned).
If there is any day of the year when candy is acceptable for breakfast….it’s Christmas. For years, our kids have enjoyed Christmas tree waffles on Christmas morning. It is a fun way to get them into the kitchen. I mean, who wouldn’t love these?

MAKING CHRISTMAS TREE WAFFLES
You’ll need just a few items:
Waffle Mix
Eggs
Green food coloring (I recommend Wilton gel to get it bright green)
M&Ms or other small candies
Sugar Cookie star (or other food item cut in the shape of a star.
Prepare your waffle batter according to the package instructions. Add a bit of green food coloring and mix until well blended. Prepare the waffles in your waffle maker as directed.
Once done, split the waffle into four triangles. Arrange 3 of them on top of one another and top with M&Ms. We top ours off with a sugar cookie star.
That’s it. A simple way to bring a bit of fun to your kids on Christmas morning.
