Homemade pickles? Can you really do it? Yes. Yes, you can.
How to Make Homemade Pickles
Have you ever felt guilty throwing away all of that perfectly good and deliciously tasty pickle brine? You know all that yummy pickle juice left over after you have guiltily eaten the last pickle?
Well, feel guilt no more! Reuse that perfectly good left over pickle brine to make NEW PICKLES!
Simply purchase a few cucumbers (any type work – I like to buy pickling cucumbers). Cut them in the size and shape you want. Put them into the pickle brine. Keep the mixture in the refrigerator for at least one week. The cucumbers will absorb the brine and you’ll have a fresh batch of pickles!
It is important that you keep the pickles refrigerated. I also would only use the brine two times. After that, the brine gets watered down and loses some of it’s punch.
