There is nothing that feels better than relaxing in a hot tub. It’s even better when you add bath salts to the water. You will soothe your sore muscles and even make your skin feel better.
You can have a basic salt bath by adding a little Epsom salt to your water and be done. But, add essential oils to your salts to take it to another level and can have therapeutic benefits. For example, lavender is relaxing whereas you may want to add lemon to feel invigorated.
One idea is to make homemade bath salts for gifts! Create different color and scent combinations and put it into a jar with a ribbon. Give it to a teacher for teacher appreciation week, Mom for Mother’s Day or a friend for Christmas.
This simple recipe works no matter what type of bath salt you want to make. Change the oils and food coloring options to create anything you want.
HOW TO USE BATH SALTS
Start filling your tub with water. Add a handful (anywhere from 1/4 – 1/2 cup) to your bath by holding your hand under the running water, allowing them to fall into the water.
As they dissolve, the scents will be released into the steam. Once you have the level you desire, slide into the tub and let the salts go to work.
BENEFITS OF BATH SALTS
Soaking in a tub has its own benefits. Adding bath salts can relieve stress, help sore muscles, and eliminate toxins from your body (source).
