Floral centerpieces are pretty. But, you can make them more fun and interesting by adding — gumballs! This is a simple decorating idea you can use for spring, Easter, Mother’s Day, birthdays and more!
I love to find creative ways to display flowers as centerpieces! Flowers, in my opinion, make the perfect decor at just about any function. And they can be pretty affordable if you know what you’re looking for and where to get them/
These gumball centerpieces are fun to make and can be customized to work for any occasion. You can find these in bulk at places like Amazon for much cheaper than I thought you could! Keep in mind that there are about 100 1″ gumballs (which is the size we chose to use in this post) in a pound. So plan accordingly!

TIP: You may want to choose a small to a medium sized jar, so you don’t have to buy your weight in gumballs! For affordable options, check your local Dollar Store.
MAKING A GUMBALL CENTERPIECE
SUPPLIES
Small glass vase
Smaller glass jar (fits inside of vase – but not more than 1″ taller than the outside vase)
Gumballs
Flowers
DIRECTIONS
Place the smaller jar inside of the vase. Again, make sure it is no more than 1 to 1 1/2″ taller than the vase. It can have images on it, as you see below. Those will be covered when you add the gumballs.

Hold your inner jar in place at the center of your outer jar while you place the gumballs inside. Put them in one at a time, and work your way around the jar.
Fill the jar just to the brim, and then leave it. You should have a pretty tight fit, without going over, so your inner jar is snug. After you finish adding the gumballs, use a funnel to fill the inner glass halfway up with water.
Cut your flowers and place them in the inner jar. If you are on a budget, varieties such as daisies or chrysanthemums are very affordable.
What makes this project so much fun is you can customize it as you would like. Create one with your school colors or random to get something fresh for spring!
