My daughter won’t sleep without a night light. At all. Those cute, character night lights at Walmart can get expensive, and the lightbulbs burn out so quickly!
We decided to try something new, and we made this adorable glitter night light together! It’s several of my favorite things wrapped all up into one – glitter, pink, mason jars and flameless candles.
SUPPLIES
A small mason jar
Mod Podge
Micro Glitter (make sure it is FINE glitter)
Sponge Brush
Flameless Candle
Mix the Mod Podge and glitter (keep in mind the Mod Podge will dry clear). We found the glitter in a package of 5 at our Dollar Store. We mixed 1/2 of a container of glitter with the Mod Podge (to make it extra sparkly).
Spread a very THICK coat of the mixture on the inside of the jar. It will look like this photo above. Make sure you did not miss any spots. Allow to dry for 8 – 10 hours.
Place your flameless candle on the center of the lid (do not glue the candle or you will be unable to turn it off or on). Screw the jar on top of it.
We had fun making this – and you and your kids will too!!
