Looking for a fun idea for the kids? These DIY seed bombs are fun and easy to make!
I just love flowers and planting! My daughter is always trying to “help” plant when I work in my flower beds, and I’ve finally found a solution to make it stress free for all of us! Seed bombs! These DIY seed bombs are easy to make and do not take very much time at all!
Other fun DIY ideas you will want to try:
SUPPLIES
Construction paper
Silicone molds
Seeds (make sure this is exactly what you want to plant)
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Cut the paper into small squares. Then, soak in water. You will need just one sheet per every two molds. Allow to soak for 5 – 10 minutes, or until soaked through.
STEP 2
Remove paper from water squeeze out the excess. If you leave too much water in the paper, it will saturate your seeds, and they will begin to grow before you have a chance to plant your seed bombs (don’t ask me how I know this…)
Then put them in a food processor and shred the paper into a pulp.
STEP 3
Fill each mold half way with the paper pulp. Press it firmly into the mold to ensure it has tightly filled the cavity. After it’s filled about halfway, sprinkle your desired seeds in each mold.
STEP 4
Fill up the remainder of each cavity with more paper pulp and allow to dry overnight. Once done, they can be planted where ever it you want your plant (or whatever seed) to grow!
