I had such a good time making this adorable DIY Fall Leaf Luminary! It’s so easy to make and is a pretty quick project too! Customize it to your decor, and even change up the symbol on the front if you don’t like the leaf!
Other fall ideas:
SUPPLIES:
Mason Jar
Acrylic Paint
Flameless Candles
Lentils, Split Peas, Black Beans, Brown Rice
Foam paintbrush
Vinyl leaf sticker (I used a Silhouette, but you can use other stickers you may find in the store)
DIRECTIONS:
Place the vinyl sticker on your jar. I put mine at a slight angle, because that way I didn’t have to worry about it being perfectly lined up. Make sure the bottom of your leaf stops about an inch and a half to two inches above the bottom of the jar.
Press down all the edges smoothly on your leaf. Flip your jar upside down, cover the entire jar with paint, making sure to also paint the rim. Allow to dry for 10 minutes. If you like brush strokes being visible, you are done painting. If not, add a second coat.
Once completely dry, carefully peal off the leaf. My tip is to start at the stem of the leaf and slowly peel off. Just remove your sticker VERY slowly (or you will pull paint off the jar.
Fill the jar with lentils, beans – whatever you decide. You can add a flameless candle so you see it through the opening. Tie the raffia or ribbon around the top and you are done!
